Melody Schell, OTR/L, CEES 

"Ergo-Centric Health and Wellness, Inc. was founded in 2000 after 10 years of working in the medical field with work place injuries and rehabilitation.  I had a strong desire to prevent the multitude of injuries I was accustom to treating through the field ergonomics... the dynamic relationship between the person AND the work environment for positive outcomes for the individual and the company.  I've said it once and I'll say it again, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".  

Melody graduated from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner ...die hard fan) in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.   She has extensive clinical experience treating psychiatric and cognitively impaired patients, aging populations, Functional Capacity evaluations, and work injury and rehabilitation.   

Ergonomics became a passion to assist the worker to experience wellness before, during, and after work and assist companies to impact their employee wellness and bottom line.  Melody has performed 1000's of ergonomic evaluations and training sessions to employees, managers, and universities. She has implemented simple on the spot interventions to complex material handling designs.  She has a wide range of clients to include settings in semiconductor manufacture, general office space, healthcare, printing press, clean rooms, warehouse material handling, Facilities, shipping/product transport, and home accommodations.  

She's been instrumental in assisting an injured worker return to work functioning as a liaison between the doctor, company nurse, and employee.
